Job summary

Whistler Personnel Solutions in Pemberton, BC is seeking a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join a family practice. The role offers a collaborative, mentorship-friendly team focused on excellent patient care and overall wellbeing.

The position provides flexible hours with potential for a 4-day work week, wages of $60–$67 per hour, benefits, vacation time, uniform allowance, continuing education, and housing support for out-of-town candidates.

Qualifications

• Licensed dental hygienist in BC or eligible from another province.
• 2+ years of experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• Strong communication, teamwork and attention to detail.
• Currently or in progress to be registered with a provincial college/association.
• Able to work independently and as part of a mentorship-enabled team.

Responsibilities

• Review and update medical and dental histories.
• Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments.
• Conduct oral cancer screenings.
• Assess overall oral health and identify abnormalities.
• Take intraoral and extraoral photographs.
• Take dental radiographs and other diagnostic images.
• Remove plaque, calculus (tartar) and stains from teeth.
• Perform scaling and root planing.
• Polish teeth, apply fluoride.
• Administer local anesthetic (where permitted and if certified).
• Manage periodontal maintenance appointments.

The Perfect Candidate:

• Must be a licensed dental hygienist from BC or another province.
• We are ideally looking for someone with 2+ years of experience and new grads are also welcome to apply.

• Currently or in‑progress to be registered with a provincial college/association of Dental Hygiene.
• Someone who is a motivated professional and a team player.
• Demonstrated ability to connect and communicate with a variety of patients and address a diversity of patient needs.
• Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively when needed, but a dedicated team is available for mentorship.
