Regional Sales Manager - HVAC

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and business development of products and services across Western Canada, providing strategic leadership to a sales team in Alberta and sales agents in BC as well the prairies. The position focuses on promoting advanced HVAC solutions that integrate digital technology, IoT, data analytics, and performance optimization to enhance building lifecycle performance. Key priorities include achieving revenue growth, expanding market coverage, strengthening relationships with end-users, contractors, service partners, OEMs, and consultants, and positioning Armstrong as a trusted leader in the commercial HVAC, plumbing, and service marketplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a solution sales team focused on Building Lifecycle Performance Management Services, providing coaching, training, and mentorship to achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, forecasts, call plans, and budgets to drive revenue, profitability, and market growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across end users, contractors, service partners, OEMs, and complementary service providers.
  • Expand and develop sales and service networks, including Service Dealers, to maximize market coverage, revenue, and customer support.
  • Drive project acquisition and execution using Armstrong’s sales processes and tools, ensuring delivery of value-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including marketing, technology, and operations—to align strategies, support product development, and enhance digital and connected services.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research, monitor industry trends, and analyze competitor activity to inform strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Oversee service, application, and warranty support, coordinating with internal departments to minimize costs and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
  • Represent Armstrong at industry events, seminars, and conferences, staying current on HVAC, digital technology, IoT, and performance optimization advancements.
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of Industrial Sales Experience
  • 5 years of managing teams / sales leadership
  • Degree not required but preferred in Business or Engineering
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • High level knowledge of building systems and HVAC products and services
  • Familiarity with IoT, data analytics, and related tools and platforms
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and ecosystem partners
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work well in a time-sensitive environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable with local travel (30-40%)
