A leading agricultural company in Winnipeg is seeking a Sales Manager to provide leadership to their sales team, achieve budgeted sales and profit objectives, and develop regional business plans. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in the Agricultural sector with a focus on territory management and people management. Key responsibilities include coaching sales managers and monitoring market trends. This role involves significant travel (50-60%).
Provide leadership to the sales team to achieve budgeted sales and profit objectives in alignment with the business unit objectives. Work closely with Marketing Managers and Account Managers in the planning and execution of annual market plans as well as customer strategies and tactics.
BS or BA degree required with a preferred focus in Ag Science or Business in addition to a minimum of 8 year’s relevant experience in the Agricultural Chemical or related Agriculture Industry with territory management experience, working with distributors, agricultural consultants and key growers/customers to accomplish territory objectives. Proven people management skill desired.
