Regional Manager, Business Development Sales

CMLS Financial is expanding our Residential Mortgages Business Development team, and we are searching for an experienced, driven, and entrepreneurial-minded Regional Manager to join our successful sales team in Ontario.

Position Overview

As a Regional Manager, you'll play a key role in originating residential mortgages through the mortgage broker channel in the Ottawa/Kingston & ON East region, joining a high-performing team of other Business Development Managers across Canada and receiving full support from our experienced Risk team, including underwriters and document specialists.

Reporting to the Vice President & Director, Residential Origination, Eastern Canada, this role will allow for full ownership of your territory’s volume objectives with a focus on driving revenue while maintaining deal quality and underwriting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strategic mortgage referral relationships with selected mortgage brokers within your region.
  • Provide exceptional sales support and deliver comprehensive training on products and lending guidelines to your business partners.
  • Collaborate with underwriting colleagues to resolve issues with business partners and ensure seamless transactions.
  • Represent CMLS at key industry events, enhancing the company's market presence and reputation.
  • Performance will be evaluated based on funded volumes, broker efficiencies, and client satisfaction metrics.
This Role is Perfect for You If
  • You excel in sales, relationship management and development with a proven track record of success.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage brokerage community in your region.
  • Possess a strong background in residential mortgage credit.
  • Have excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Have strong problem solving and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple demands under tight lines.
  • A Mortgage Broker license or Mortgage Agent license is required (or must be obtained within 6 months of being hired)
Bonus Points if you Have
  • Previous mortgage underwriting experience would be considered an asset.
  • Bachelor degree in business, finance, or marketing would be considered an asset.
