This role of Regional Maintainer - Lines, is a regular full-time position located in the Chapleau Operations Centre. Hydro One requires a Red Seal Power Line Technician Journeyperson with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience. The successful candidate(s) will be eligible to report to positions outside the Chapleau Operations Centre only after a period of approximately two (2) years’ service at the Chapleau Operations Centre (i.e. after June 30th, 2028). The successful applicant(s) to this posting will not be entitled to moving and/or transportation expenses. The successful candidate(s) will play a significant role in mentoring and coaching the Powerline Technician Apprentice(s) assigned to the Chapleau Operations Center.
This position is the result of the unique circumstance and needs of the Chapleau Operations Center. As a condition of hire to this full-time permanent role, the successful applicant(s) will only be eligible to move to lateral or demotion positions (i.e. mass hire) outside the Chapleau Operations Centre after June 30, 2028.
