About the Role

As the Regional Quality & Benchmarking Specialist, you will build and implement quality systems for Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME). You will guide field teams in creating effective decision-making tools for site managers, evaluate Fulfillment Center RME performance, and implement best practices to improve reliability metrics year over year. You will be instrumental in leading Amazon RME towards World Class Maintenance.

Key job responsibilities
  • Establish parts cage quality standard and build a standard work around parts quality management
  • Establish a forward looking risk-based interface to assist site leaders in prioritizing work based on risk of asset failure
  • Partner with the central reliability and RAPA teams to develop tools, processes and automation to track the new audit and parts mechanisms to roll out across the board
  • Establish RME standard work for determining maintenance procedure quality, details, timing, and structure for all sites and maintenance providers
  • Perform regular maintenance audits in the field and analyzes what is being done relative to standard work best practices for all RME scope
  • Lead the network in Continuous Improvement initiatives, using AMS Standards
  • Identify and validate new company-wide Program Management (PM) processes and resources meet the highest safety and effectiveness standards
  • Contribute as a senior quality engineer on a high performing team which defines and audits the quality of RME maintenance procedures and execution
  • Help define the 3-5 year RME Quality strategic vision, have a long-term roadmap, establish the right Quality team dynamics, and deliver innovative, scalable testing solutions & programs
  • Travel domestically up to 80%
  • 5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
  • 5+ years of Reliability Program Manager experience
  • 5+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
  • 5+ years of refrigeration industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (Reliability & Maintenance Engineering) experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time Exempt experience
  • Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment
  • Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Master’s degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
  • Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
