Compensation: 42-55 per hour; signing bonus available

Overview

RG Henderson, a division of Heritage Food Service Group of Canada, is the largest service provider for the food service industry in Toronto (GTA) with operations in the South-Western Ontario area. We have over 100 years of history and our licensed, factory-trained technicians minimize downtime and prioritize urgent service. We maintain a sizable inventory of OEM parts and provide extensive support to drive service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain refrigeration equipment, including display cases, walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-in and undercounter coolers/freezers, ice machines, and reach-in blast chillers.
• Service hot equipment as a bonus; typical cooking equipment (gas, steam, electric) includes dishwashing equipment, ranges, fryers, steamers, and combi-ovens.
• Provide exceptional customer service and act as the customer-facing HERO daily.
• Utilize industry knowledge to service complex equipment and diagnose issues; provide timely, quality solutions.
• Work with ongoing training and education goals; support for future training is available if not currently certified.

What you bring

• 2 to 5 years' experience as a refrigeration technician
• 313A journeymen or red seal refrigeration mechanic
• G2 / G1 are assets but not required
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting commercial refrigeration equipment
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Valid driver's license with a relatively clean driving record
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; accountable and self-driven
• Must be available to work overtime and participate in on-call rotation
• Able to occasionally travel to other locations or for training purposes
