Rahall HVAC is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic / HVAC Technician for Edmonton and surrounding area. This full-time role includes service, maintenance, repair, and installation work on HVAC and light refrigeration systems across commercial, industrial, and residential customers.

Rahall HVAC is a growing mechanical contractor serving commercial, industrial, and residential clients across the Edmonton metro. We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic / HVAC Technician to join our field team and support a variety of service, maintenance, repair, and installation work.

This is a hands-on position for a skilled technician who is comfortable working independently, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and delivering reliable service in the field. About the Role

As a Refrigeration Mechanic / HVAC Technician, you'll work on HVAC and light refrigeration systems across service and project environments throughout Edmonton and the surrounding area.

You’ll be responsible for diagnosing issues, completing repairs and maintenance, supporting installations, and ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard. The role offers a mix of technical challenges, jobsite variety, and opportunities to continue developing your trade skills.

Key Duties

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system issues
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service work
• Support HVAC and refrigeration installations and equipment replacements
• Inspect systems and identify repair or maintenance requirements
• Complete work according to applicable codes, specifications, and company standards
• Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and other field staff
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and safe
• Travel to jobsites throughout Edmonton and the surrounding area
• Work overtime as required based on service needs and project schedules

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant HVAC/refrigeration field experience
• HVAC and refrigeration trade experience required
• Appropriate trade credentials required
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be able to provide proof of 3+ years of insurance history in Canada
• Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's licence
• Clean driving record
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Able to work independently and manage field responsibilities
• Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-focused
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to work overtime when required
