Job summary

Trindent Consulting is expanding its North American refinery consulting practice, seeking chemical engineers with 2+ years in refinery environments. You will work across core services including quality improvement, loss control, energy intensity, and planning optimization, traveling frequently to client sites.

You will mine and analyse data, build dashboards, and collaborate with operations and engineering teams to deliver measurable financial and operational gains.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on refinery experience.
• Strong understanding of refinery operations & process engineering.
• Advanced data mining and analysis in Excel; strong problem-solving & communication skills.
• Ability to work with client stakeholders in a site-based consulting environment.
• Knowledge of Aspen PIMS, AVEVA Spiral, Haverly GRTMPS or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Mine, cleanse and analyse operating data in Excel; develop dashboards, KPI grids and management reporting.
• Support observations, audits, area profiles and continuous-improvement activities; translate findings into practical actions with measurable impact.
• Work closely with refinery operations, planning, scheduling, laboratory, maintenance, engineering and management teams.
• Help implement sustainable processes and embed new ways of working across client sites.
