Job summary

Job Function Manager

TRS Staffing is seeking a Refinery Operations Manager to oversee lant operations, drive production performance, and lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Our client is a leading organization in the environmental and industrial services sector, recognized for its commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, environmental requirements, operating permits, and quality standards.

  • Coordinate activities between operations, maintenance, logistics, and quality teams to ensure seamless facility performance.

  • Act as a key liaison between plant personnel and leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment on operational priorities.

  • Monitor plant performance, analyze operating data, and implement process improvements.

  • Develop, review, and maintain operating procedures and best practices to support safe and efficient operations.

  • Lead daily refinery operations to achieve production, quality, safety, environmental, and cost objectives.

  • Support process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and the planning and execution of plant shutdowns and turnarounds.

  • Preform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, or industrial processing,

  • Strong technical knowledge of continuous process manufacturing and refinery operations.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.

  • Experience managing operational budgets and controlling production-related costs.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills with the ability to motivate and influence teams.

  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions.

  • Demonstrated experience managing production teams and driving operational performance.
