About the role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, Plumbers are responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for a variety of facilities and systems at our Line Creek Operation. This is a full-time hourly position with a 4x4 day shift schedule. The role is site-based at our Elk Valley operations; the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C. is necessary.

In this role you will
  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for a variety of facilities throughout the entire site
  • Proactively diagnose facility deficiencies and coordinate those maintenance requirements through the maintenance supervisor
  • Maintain the Sewage Treatment Plant and Potable Water System
Requirements
  • Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Plumber Certification
  • Class B gas fitting certification
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
  • General knowledge of other skillsets including electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and welding (asset)
  • Small Waste Water Treatment and Small Water Systems Certifications (asset)

Compensation

Hourly Wage: $50.23
