Job summary

Arrow Transportation Systems Inc. is seeking a Red Seal Commercial Truck and Transport Mechanic for our Prince George, BC division. You will join a 3‑bay shop and perform skilled maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers and mobile equipment, using state-of-the-art tools.

Qualifications

• Journeyman's certificate or Red Seal preferred.
• Clean driver’s abstract with no suspensions.
• Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical, including schematics and diagnostics.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• Two job references required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine maintenance on tractors, trailers and mobile equipment.
• Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to OH&S regulations.
• Perform mechanical repairs in shop and on road calls.
• Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment.
• Perform incidental welding repairs on equipment.
• Operate automotive servicing equipment.
• Keep knowledge of technology and repair techniques up to date.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
