Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience servicing diesel engines, hydraulics, and mobile equipment (drilling, forestry, mining, or construction).
• Physically capable of field work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s licence; First Aid, WHMIS, and Fall Protection certifications are assets.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement preventative maintenance program and oversee junior mechanics.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and powertrains on drill rigs and support vehicles.
• Conduct scheduled and preventative maintenance according to manufacturer and company standards.

Skills

Strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting skills

Ability to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and technical drawings

Familiarity with Caterpillar, Cummins, John Deere, and Atlas Copco systems
