Job summary

A leading mining company in Canada is seeking a Human Resources professional to support recruitment and ensure compliance with company policies and standards. The ideal candidate will have a College Diploma in Human Resources, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, and strong attention to detail. This position offers a 40-hour work week with a combination of teleworking and in-office presence in Rouyn-Noranda.

Qualifications

Job description

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Superintendent – Quebec, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Responsibilities
  • Create and/or edit job descriptions, create requisitions in Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and publish job postings both internally and externally;

  • Support the pre-employment verification process for salaried and hourly candidates (reference taking, criminal records verification, medical exam scheduling, English assessments;

  • Update all required tracking documents;

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring the highest recruitment standard and philosophy;

  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with company policies and employment laws.

  • Support the recruitment team for all matters related to recruitment function as required.

Qualifications
  • College Diploma in Human Resources, Administration or relevant field;

  • Attention to detail, ability to maintain high standards, ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines;

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maximize efficiencies in daily work;

  • Experience with Taleo is considered an asset;

  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Your Work Schedule
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; possibility of a 5-2-4-3 schedule. A combination of tele working with presence at our offices in either Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda or Mirabel, QC. Occasional visits to our Quebec sites may also be required.
