Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or Recreation and Leisure Studies.
• Active or eligible for Professional Membership with the Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA).
• Experience in a clinical and/or rehabilitation setting.
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and build relationships.
• Knowledge of therapeutic recreation standards, assessment, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Perform recreation therapy assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual and group interventions and provide leisure education.
• Evaluate outcomes and document according to practice standards.
• Collaborate in rounds, conferences, and care planning with the health team.
• Contribute to program development, quality improvement, and education.
