We’re looking for enthusiastic team players to be part of the buzz at our City recreation and cultural centres! As a Recreation Clerk 1, you’ll be up‑front‑and‑center as a representative of the City, greeting guests and making sure that their experience is the best that it can be. Love going that extra mile? Then this job is for you! With so much interaction with the public, you should be friendly, courteous, with a knack for customer service. You should be a great multi‑tasker since you’ll need to juggle public contact, clerical and typing work (minimum 30 wpm net) as well as answer the telephone. You should also be a team player who can maintain great relationships with the public and with your co‑workers. A happy team makes for a great working environment! As a Recreation Clerk 1, some of your responsibilities will include maintaining booking and registration schedules as well as receiving cash and issuing receipts. Performs other related work as required.

Hours of work: As this is an auxiliary position, hours and shifts are dependent on operational requirements and are scheduled on an as needed basis. We have many shifts available throughout the week, including weekends and statutory holidays. Typical shifts are minimum four hours in length between operating hours of 5:30am - 10:30pm, Monday to Sunday.
