Job summary

A healthcare clinic in Whitby is looking for a full-time receptionist/administrative assistant to manage front desk tasks, including welcoming patients, booking appointments, and answering inquiries. Ideal candidates should have at least one year of customer service experience, strong computer skills, and excellent communication abilities in English. As regulated health practitioners in Traditional Chinese Medicine in Ontario, our practice is focused on healing and sustainable health of our patients in a calm and positive environment. We treat pain management, fertility support, pregnancy support, to mental health issues.

Job Description

We seek a receptionist/ administrative assistant at the front desk to manage administrative support that will include:

  • welcoming patients
  • online booking appointments
  • answering inquiries through calls and emails
  • providing general information for current and new patients
  • providing direct billing insurances
  • managing payment through JaneApp
  • assisting the practitioners in keeping the clinic clean and organized
  • monitoring clinic supplies and supporting ad hoc duties

There are minor creative roles involved with

  • social media postings
  • biweekly enews through Mailchimp
  • postings on our website blog and google
Qualifications

All above will require working independently most of the time with guidance from the director when not occupied with patients. We require some who is:

  1. at least 1-year customer service and reception working experience
  2. strong computer skills and creative team player
  3. interest in supporting the local community
  4. interest in sustainable health and healthy living
  5. excellent writing skills and communication in English
  6. positive and outgoing attitude
