Permanent, Part-time. For over 35 years, Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton has dedicated itself to offering high‑quality programs for young children and their families. We operate full‑day early learning and childcare centres for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, along with before and after school extended‑day programs for kindergarten and school‑aged children at over 27 locations across the Greater Hamilton Area. Total Weekly Hours

19 hours per week

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 2:30pm - 6:00pm

Pay Rate
  • RECE: 27.94 per hour

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1‑year experience working directly with children or in a childcare setting
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
Certifications
  • Active registration and good standing with the College of ECE
  • Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
  • Proof of up‑to‑date immunizations (TB, Tetanus, MMR)
Skills & Knowledge
  • Familiarity with How Does Learning Happen? (an asset)
  • Strong understanding of child development and age‑appropriate activities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Collaborate with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty
