We are currently seeking two (2) Real‑Time Media Officers, with the potential of a 3rd appointment within the next 12 months!
As a Real‑Time Media Officer, you will be at the forefront of delivering critical, up‑to‑the‑minute traffic and network information that helps customers make informed travel decisions, speaking live on radio and personally presenting information on social media. This fast‑paced role involves proactively identifying network issues that may affect travel times and collaborating closely with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to bring together accurate, real‑time insights. You will prepare and present dynamic traffic condition reports and event updates through live broadcasts and digital media platforms, ensuring information is clear, timely, and accessible to the public. As a trusted Main Roads representative, you will also engage directly with customers via social media, responding to enquiries with a strong customer focus and a commitment to delivering prompt, reliable information when it matters most.

Please note, this role includes shift‑work – weekdays, weekends and public holidays. Shifts may cover morning and afternoon peak traffic periods, but may also cover other hours, including for events. Whilst this is a full‑time position, part‑time hours will also be considered.
