Job summary

Synectics Inc. seeks an experienced residential real estate law clerk to independently manage a high-volume docket of 35-40 files monthly, including purchases, sales, and refinances.

You will prepare transactional documents, client and lender reports, and conduct title searches. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, with the ability to mentor junior staff and coordinate with lenders, agents, and municipalities.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Canadian Law Clerk Diploma program.
  • Minimum 3 years of residential real estate law clerk experience.
  • Experience managing 35-40 files per month across purchases, sales, and refinances.
  • Proficiency with Unity/Conveyancer, Closer, and Teraview.
  • Fluent English; French required; Portuguese is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage residential real estate transactions from opening to closing.
  • Prepare correspondence, transactional documents, client reports, and lender reports.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, lenders, real estate professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Service Mortgage Investment Corporation (MIC) files and complete required reporting.
  • Conduct title searches and review municipal searches, surveys, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with real estate agents, brokers, financial institutions, municipalities, land registry offices, and other parties.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all reporting and closing requirements are completed on time.
  • Identify and resolve issues relating to title, mortgages, and real estate transactions.
  • Support and mentor junior law clerks as required.
