HelloFresh is seeking a Mid-Level React Native Developer in Toronto to build high-quality mobile and web experiences that enhance customer engagement. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver features that drive growth, while embracing modern technologies and AI-driven tools. Ideal candidates will have 2-4 years of relevant experience in development of mobile applications and a passion for crafting exceptional user experiences. Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience building mobile applications (iOS/Android).
• Solid understanding of integrating frontend applications with backend services.
• Experience with testing and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience optimizing performance for mobile applications is a plus.

As a Mid‑Level React Native Developer, you’ll join a cross‑functional team building features that empower both customers and internal stakeholders. You’ll contribute to developing high‑quality mobile and web experiences using modern technologies, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and maintainability.

You’ll work closely with senior engineers while taking ownership of well‑defined features end‑to‑end, growing your technical depth and product intuition over time.

We’re also increasingly leveraging AI‑driven tools and systems—from developer productivity (e.g., code generation, testing support) to customer‑facing experimentation and personalization—so you’ll have opportunities to build and iterate in an evolving, AI‑enabled environment.

• Collaborate within a cross‑functional team of engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts
• Build, test, and ship features that improve the customer experience and drive growth
• Contribute to code quality, performance, and maintainability of our mobile applications
• Participate in system design discussions and help implement scalable solutions
• Work with backend services and APIs to deliver seamless end‑to‑end functionality
• Use data and experimentation to inform product decisions and iterate on features
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through code reviews and team discussions
• Stay current with emerging tools and practices, including AI‑assisted development workflows
• All other duties, as assigned

• 2–4 years of experience working with React / React Native
• 2–4 years of experience building mobile applications (iOS and/or Android) using technologies such as Swift, Kotlin, or React Native
• Solid understanding of integrating frontend applications with backend services and APIs
• Experience with testing (unit, integration, or end‑to‑end) and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with agile development and working in cross‑functional teams
• Ability to collaborate effectively with designers and product managers
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a willingness to learn and grow
• Nice to have: Experience with experimentation platforms (A/B testing)
• Nice to have: Exposure to AI/ML‑powered features or tools (e.g., personalization, recommendations, or developer tooling)
• Nice to have: Experience optimizing performance for mobile applications at scale
