A Canadian mining company is seeking RC Sample Technicians to support their Geology team in Red Lake, Ontario. Responsibilities include organizing samples, assisting drill contractors, and ensuring quality and security. Candidates must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or GED, ability to lift heavy samples, and ideally forklift certification. This position offers a fixed-term of 6 months with a rotation of 7 days on and 7 days off, including day and night shifts.
The Great Bear project is a development-stage asset located in the renowned and prolific Red Lake mining district, and represents one of the most exciting recent gold discoveries globally. The project has excellent potential to become a top-tier deposit that could support a large, long-life mine complex. Kinross’ comprehensive exploration and development program will aim to support the vision of a quality, high-grade, open-pit mine and a longer-term, sizeable underground mine.
Under the guidance of the site Geology team, RC Sample Technicians are positive, hardworking, team players who are responsible for supporting the Geology team. These positions will work as teams of 2 to manage the samples created by the RC program in-line with Kinross SOP’s.
This position is located in Red Lake, Ontario. In this role, you will work a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation, with day and night shift coverage.
This is a fixed-term position with a minimum term of 6 months.
