Job summary

FedEx Canada is seeking personnel for an interview position to load and unload aircraft and vehicles, scan and transport freight to and from ramp and within the facility. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, following ramp procedures, and maintaining certifications.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to complete ramp training and yearly recurrency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• Able to complete ramp training and certifications (GSE, tug, belt loader, t-stacking, DG).
• Must stay current with yearly recurrency training.
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian customs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload FedEx aircrafts and vehicles; transport freight to and from ramp and within the facility.
• Scan and move packages within the ramp area and facility.
• Maintain safety and adherence to training and accreditations; follow standard operating procedures.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

High school diploma/educational equivalent.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record

Ability to successfully complete all ramp training and certification, such as GSE, tug, belt loader, t-stacking and DG.

Must maintain accreditation through yearly recurrency training prior to expiration.

Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations an asset.

Good problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Good time management and organizational skills

Able to lift 70lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
