A major airline in Vancouver is looking for a Part-time Ramp Agent to join their dynamic team. This physically demanding role involves onloading and offloading aircraft while ensuring safety and timely performance. Qualifications

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada (Onsite)

Starting Salary: $17.85/hour for Part Time

Branch: Airports Canada & CX Strategy

Category: Unionized (IAMAW)

Job type: Part-time

Plus shift premiums: Afternoon - $0.50 for each hour worked between 18:00 and 23:00. Midnight - $1.00 for each hour worked between 23:00 and 6:00.

No Previous Experience Required.

What will you do today?

As a dynamic team member, you collaborate with your crew to efficiently onload and offload aircraft, ensuring safe and on-time performance. You may perform a range of tasks including baggage handling, processing connecting passengers’ bags, or duties on the tarmac contributing to a successful operation.

teamwork is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our fleet. This physically demanding role involves active movement both on the airside and in the baggage room. Operations run year-round, so readiness to work in all weather conditions is required.

To Join Us, You Must Have

  • A valid driver’s license – driving heavy equipment on the airside is required
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs repetitively
  • To pass a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test
  • Availability to attend and successfully pass a nine to ten weeks full-time paid training program
  • Availability to work rotating shift patterns over a 24-hour period (including weekends and holidays)
  • Safety and security conscious
  • Strong communication and ability to work in a team daily
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations. Refer to Transport Canada for details
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer is made and should secure any required work permits/visas or other authorizations; this is the candidate’s responsibility
