Job summary

Qualifications

  • Locomotive Engineer qualification is an asset.
  • Strong background in Train Operations, Railroad Engineering, and Mechanical.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety processes ensuring safe operations.
  • Manage and coach a team of managers.
  • Direct daily activities of all departments.
  • Create and implement operating plans and procedures.
  • Establish service and staffing levels for efficiency.
  • Oversee budget administration and resource allocation.
  • Maintain relationships with customers.
  • Prepare accurate railroad status reports for executives.
  • Document accident investigations with corrective measures.
  • Participate in collective agreement negotiations.
