Qualifications

  • Must have more than 10 years of railroad management experience.
  • Locomotive Engineer qualification is an asset.
  • Strong background in Railroad Engineering and Mechanical.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety processes and ensure safe operations.
  • Manage, coach, and support a team of managers.
  • Direct and control daily activities of departments.
  • Implement operating plans and procedures for safety.
  • Allocate resources to meet schedule requirements.
  • Develop and oversee team budget.
  • Maintain relationships with customers.
  • Prepare railroad status reports for executive staff.
  • Investigate incidents and ensure proper follow-up.
  • Participate in collective agreement negotiations.
