Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as a journeymen mechanic with relevant experience in a maintenance / workshop environment.
• Previous experience with ALRT vehicles or in a heavy industrial environment will also be considered.
• This position is safety critical. Fitness for duty is a requirement of the position.

Responsibilities

• Carries out preventative and corrective maintenance on all maintenance assets including rail-borne equipment.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses the cause of failures to mechanical equipment and rectify them.
• Develops a full working knowledge of all maintenance assets.
