Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in transportation or logistics is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations is an asset.

Job description

As a Rail Billing Coordinator, you will provide 24 hour, 365 day rotational shift coverage to ensure efficient and accurate creation and auditing of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) documentation. Your goal will be to deliver critical shipping documents and support Rail fleet coordination and Marine shipping movements, while maintaining regulatory compliance and keeping refinery railcar racks in service at all times. Your success will depend on your ability to create and analyze reports, manage time-sensitive tasks under a 24/7 schedule, and ensure accuracy and compliance in all documentation and processes.

Your Responsibilities
  • Create shipping documents for all railcar movements; attention to detail and TDG compliance essential
  • Create Marine Billing; includes the requirement to follow strict Marine billing processes and compliance
  • Create Cintellate incidents as required including fact gathering and initial investigation
  • Validate and retain records - outbound and inbound shipping records compliant with TDG compliance and daily rail performance records
  • Create various reports; collect and manipulate time sensitive data, ensuring accuracy of reporting
  • Review and audit inbound and outbound shipping documents to ensure compliant documentation is retained
  • Engage with available resources to problem solve non-compliant shipping documents and initial investigations
  • Conduct daily reviews and approvals of inbound & outbound rail shipping documents confirming compliance with TDG regulations in both Canada & the US
  • Complete process and procedure reviews, develop process improvement documentation and make process improvement recommendations

  • Experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines / proven ability to meet hard deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of MS office applications, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proactively using available resources to problem solve
Your Experience
  • Post Secondary education in the field of Business Administration
  • 3+ years of related experience. Transportation, operations, or logistics experience considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations an asset
