The Opportunity

The RAI (Resident Assessment Instrument) Coordinator is responsible for the overall administration, organization, education, coordination, and implementation of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) for the interdisciplinary team. Provides supervision and assistance to the interdisciplinary team regarding MDS documentation.

What Is In It For You
  • Provides RAI MDS education and relevant software training, to members of the residence interdisciplinary team using a train-the-trainer model. Utilizes on-line training to support and assist with MDS education in the residence.
  • Monitors and provides on-site support to all MDS users in the residence.
  • Develops and maintains an up-to-date resident assessment schedule, ensuring accessibility to all users. Monitors and audits completion of MDS assessments to ensure assessments are completed on time and that all MDS timelines are met and adhered to.
  • Assists MDS users in coding assessments - provides materials, assistance, and support to ensure coding accuracy.
What You Will Need
  • A sound knowledge and background in Long Term Care.
  • A sound knowledge of the Long‑Term Care Act, Ministry of Health Long‑Term Care Program Standards, including documentation requirements.
  • A minimum of three years clinical, project leadership or managerial experience in Long Term Care.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) - current member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
