North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust in Peterborough is seeking a Radiotherapy Dosimetrist to assist the Lead Dosimetrist in providing the radiotherapy treatment planning service under scientific supervision. You will support all areas of treatment planning and contribute to SABR for lung and oligometastatic disease.

The department uses RapidArc and online IGRT, is paperless, and is involved in research and national clinical trials.

Responsabilités

• Production of highly complex computer-based external beam radiotherapy treatment plans for individual patients within clinical and waiting time constraints.
• Supervision of junior dosimetry staff and radiographers working in the treatment planning area.
• Liaison with clinicians, physicists, therapy radiographers and technical staff to ensure a seamless production and transfer of treatment planning data.
• Provision of highly complex clinical technical advice to Oncology clinicians and radiographers for complex, multifactorial problems which directly impact upon patient’s treatments.

Radiotherapy Dosimetrist - Peterborough | North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust

The post holder will be responsible for assisting the Lead Dosimetrist in the provision of the radiotherapy treatment planning service under the scientific supervision of the Principal Physicist – Head of Treatment Planning and in conjunction with Pre-Treatment Therapy Radiographers.

The post holder will provide support in all areas of treatment planning.

RapidArc is utilised for all suitable clinical sites, as is routine daily online IGRT (including thorax 4DCT and DIBH breast). Our departmenthas been paperless from the beginning. As well as providing top-class service to our patients, we are actively involved in research anddevelopment projects and national clinical trials. We are commissioned to deliver SABR for lung and oligometastatic disease.
