Job summary

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking two full-time Radiologists to join our Coastal Community of Care, practicing across Lions Gate Hospital and North Shore Medical Imaging. You will provide diagnostic and interventional radiology services to patients on the North Shore and regional sites including Sechelt, Squamish, Whistler, and the Sunshine Coast.

The successful candidates will report CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, General Radiography, Mammography; perform interventional procedures;

Qualifications

• Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC) licence: Full.
• CMPA: Mandatory.
• FRCPC: Mandatory.
• Fellowship training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reporting CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, General Radiography, and Mammography exams.
• Performing mid-level interventional radiology procedures.
• Collaborating with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Sharing on-call responsibilities among radiology colleagues.
• Partaking in resident education and regional imaging coverage.

Practicing across both Lions Gate Hospital and North Shore Medical Imaging (NSMI), you will become part of a collaborative regional imaging team providing comprehensive diagnostic and interventional radiology services to patients across the North Shore, Squamish, Whistler, Sechelt, and the Sunshine Coast. The Opportunity

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnostic radiology services at Lions Gate Hospital and affiliated regional sites. The practice includes a wide spectrum of diagnostic and interventional imaging, offering excellent clinical variety and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Reporting CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, General Radiography, and Mammography examinations.
• Performing mid-level interventional radiology procedures.
• Collaborating with referring physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Sharing on-call responsibilities amongst team members.
• Partaking in resident education through academic partnerships.
• Contributing to wait-time reduction and efficient care delivery.
• Participating in regional imaging coverage, including travel shifts to Sechelt, Squamish, and Whistler.
• Supporting quality improvement initiatives and departmental educational activities.
• Successfully completing the North Shore Medical Imaging (NSMI) interview process.

Lions Gate Hospital is a busy regional referral centre serving the North Shore and Sea-to-Sky corridor. The Department of Medical Imaging provides comprehensive diagnostic and interventional imaging services using modern equipment and supports a wide range of medical and surgical specialties. The successful candidate will work alongside a collaborative team of radiologists, technologists, nurses, and support staff dedicated to excellence in diagnostic imaging and patient care.

Remuneration

• Fee-for-Service (FFS).
• Overhead arrangements are negotiable.

• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC): Mandatory
• Fellowship training preferred

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Demonstrated proficiency in CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, General Radiography, and Mammography.
• Experience performing mid-level interventional radiology procedures.
• Willingness to participate in regional coverage including travel to Sechelt, Squamish, and Whistler.
