JOB DESCRIPTION

Radiologist, Veterinarian

Location: Calgary, AB

Calgary Animal Referral & Emergency Centre is welcoming a Board-certified Radiologist (permanent, full-time) to join our specialty health care team. We also welcome applicants who are nearing the completion of their residency training and waiting to complete board exams.

The candidate’s responsibilities will include further advancement of the radiology department and teaching and mentoring the interns and support staff. A full complement of on-site diagnostic imaging equipment includes a Canon digital radiography suite, CANON ultrasound unit, OEC 9800 Plus fluoroscopy unit, Toshiba Aquilion 16 Slice CT, and CANON MRI suite.

Qualifications
  • A valid DVM degree or equivalent, enabling practice in Canada
  • Candidates must be board-certified or residency trained ACVR or ECVDI (and eligible to sit for board examination) in radiology.
  • License in Alberta or eligibility to be licensed with the AbVBMA. (A license restricted to radiology is an option in Alberta).
  • Strong leadership skills combined with a positive team player attitude to enable our teams to flourish

About Us

Calgary Animal Referral & Emergency Centre is a 24-hour emergency and referral specialty hospital, which operates out of a 26,000 square foot facility in Calgary. The hospital is undergoing a complete update and expansion to facilitate the ever-growing caseload and expanding specialty services, including the design of a new, state-of-the-art ICU.
