Job summary

CancerCare Manitoba in Winnipeg is seeking a Nursing Assistant (RT) to provide reception and clerical support within the Radiation Therapy Department and assist with patient tasks. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patient care, communicate with families, and maintain department cleanliness.

The role involves lifting and transporting patients and equipment, while safeguarding patient privacy under PHIA and CCMB policies. A BCHSL and related certificates are required.

Qualifications

• Health Unit Clerk and Health Care Aide Certificates, or equivalent (ie. Nursing Assistant Certificate)
• Current experience in unit clerk and health care aid or related professional health care field.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to stressful situations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Excellent computer skills.
