Job summary

Nova Scotia Health is seeking compassionate Radiation Therapists to join teams across programs and locations, delivering patient-centred care in a collaborative healthcare environment. Position includes permanent full-time and long assignment opportunities with a bi-weekly 75-hour schedule.

The role requires an accredited Radiation Therapy program, NSRMIRT registration, and strong computer skills, with French language skills seen as an asset.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program in Canada or a recognized non-Canadian program.
• License and registration with the NSRMIRT.
• Excellent working knowledge of relevant computer software programs.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a cancer patient and their chart for radiation treatments.
• Fabricate accessories (casts) and perform treatment localization.
• Operate simulator and CT scanner with simulation software; perform treatment calculations.
• Deliver external beam therapy and manage data entry for record/verify systems.
