$33.28 to $35.28 per hour (To be negotiated) – 30 to 40 hours per week

Terms of Employment

Permanent full‑time employment. Overtime required. Shift patterns: early morning, day, evening, night, weekend, on‑call.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications
  • Apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing
  • Conduct specimen collection
  • Ensure infection control
  • Monitor nutritional intake
  • Observe and record medication’s therapeutic and side effects
  • Take vital signs
  • Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
  • Monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team
Qualifications

Education: College/CEGEP or non‑university certificate or diploma of 1–2 years or equivalent experience.

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.

Credentials: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate.
