Arctic Wolf is seeking an R&D Tools Senior Developer to administer Jira and Confluence cloud instances, and to support the broader R&D tooling ecosystem including Github and Atlassian Apps. You will work with IT and R&D to implement and optimize tooling for the lab environment and product orgs.

The role emphasizes end-to-end tool rollout, advanced dashboards, and ongoing improvements through SME guidance, training coordination, and best-practice documentation.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Jira Administrator with expertise customizing Jira projects and workflows.
  • Experience architecting a Jira Cloud Instance across multiple teams is preferred.
  • Experience with Github or other source control tools is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is an asset.
  • Strong ability to build advanced Jira/Confluence dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Build/admin/support projects within Jira and Confluence.
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of new tools within R&D from concept to adoption.
  • Administer Jira/Confluence configurations and space permissions.
  • Provide R&D tooling support across Jira, Confluence, Github, and related apps.

We’re looking for a **R&D Tools** **Senior Developer** to be part of making that happen.**About the Role**As an R&D Tools Senior Developer, you will be working with the other members of the R&D TAS team to support the tools within the R&D Organization. This role will be responsible for administration, configuration and support of our Jira and Confluence cloud instances in use by R&D and Product team, and broader R&D application-level support for our lab environments and other R&D tools. This role will work closely with IT and R&D departments to ensure that tooling meets the needs of the specific teams.**Responsibilities*** Build/admin/support projects within Jira.* Guide and lead the implementation of new tools within R&D from end to end.* Drive better adoption and use of tools within R&D including Jira, Confluence, Github, etc* Participate in process and tooling discussions as a subject matter expert* Review tool implementations for best practices and make recommendations for improvement* Administer and define Jira and Confluence solutions for ever-changing needs within the R&D and Product organizations* Support the R&D suite of tools, including Jira, Confluence, Github, and other R&D tools* Collaboratively work with IT to setup tools that meet the needs of R&D and Product teams.* Analyze, review, and document functionality to determine potential areas of continued improvement.* Work with the Training team to develop user training on R&D tools regarding how to use the tools, new functionality, etc.* Maintain existing Jira projects, workflows, and permissions, while working in a Jira cloud environment.* Document and support best practices for Confluence page structure, template creation and space permissions* Work with Jira filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, to provide the best solutions for the problem* Test new features and functionality of the Atlassian Suite of tools, integrations and Apps to ensure compatibility.**About You*** Experience as Jira Administrator with expertise customizing Jira projects with various schemes, complex workflows, custom JQL, and integration with other business systems, including external reporting systems.* Experience with architecting a Jira Cloud Instance (Jira Software and Jira Service Management) across multiple teams would be an asset.* Experience maintaining Github Organizations or Administration of other source control products* Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP or Vmware is an asset* Ability to construct advanced dashboards using various filter types in Jira and Confluence* Experience in researching, building a business purchase case, and installing Atlassian Apps.* Understanding of User & Group management through Atlassian Access.* Experience maintaining and supporting systems or tools in a rapidly changing environment* Strong analytical skills.* Atlassian Certifications an asset.* Ability to work in a dynamic agile environment.* Must have strong work ethic with good time management skills.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.**On-Camera Policy** To support a fair, transparent, and engaging interview experience, candidates interviewing remotely are expected to be on camera during all video interviews.
