Job summary

Guelph Hyundai in Guelph, Ontario, is hiring a Quick Lube Technician to inspect and lubricate vehicles, perform oil and filter changes, and support tire and battery work as directed by the Service Manager.

You will complete multi-point inspections, communicate findings to the Service Advisor, maintain a clean workspace, and participate in manufacturer training. A high school diploma, reading comprehension, and a valid driver''s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Replace oil and air filters; inspect vehicle fluid levels.
• Check tire pressure and rotate tires; tire mounting/balancing.
• Document all work performed and participate in training programs.

Your area of focus.

As a Quick Lube Technician, you are responsible for inspecting and lubricating customer’s vehicles in accordance with policies and procedures as set forth by the Service Manager. The Lube Technician will also perform light mechanical work such as tire and battery replacement.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Perform Oil & filter changes
• Sell lubrication, safety inspection, & related services
• Perform complete multi-point inspection on vehicle, check, and mark all required items on the checklist as required. Present the findings to the Service Advisor
• Replace oil and air filters
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels, replace or replenish as necessary
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
• Tire mounting/balancing, rotations and repairs
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor
• Document all work performed on the repair order
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by the service manager
• Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean
• Notify the Service Advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle
• Keep the shop area neat and clean
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Report any safety issues immediately to management
• Other tasks as assigned

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $18 – $20 Hourly — No bonus. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
