AutoCanada Inc.’s Grande Prairie Nissan is hiring a Quick Lube Technician to inspect and lubricate vehicles, perform oil and filter changes, and assist with light mechanical tasks in a fast-paced dealership in Grande Prairie, AB.

You will work with the service team to complete multi-point inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and document all work while upholding safety standards; a high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes.

• Inspect and replenish fluid levels.
• Check tire pressure and perform tire services.
• Lubricate moving parts with appropriate lubricants.
• Tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and repairs.
• Coordinate with parts department for parts.
• Document all work on repair orders.
• Attend manufacturer-sponsored training as directed.
• Keep vehicles clean and tidy; report safety issues.

Your area of focus.

As a Quick Lube Technician, you are responsible for inspecting and lubricating customer’s vehicles in accordance with policies and procedures as set forth by the Service Manager. The Lube Technician will also perform light mechanical work such as tire and battery replacement.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Perform Oil & filter changes
• Sell lubrication, safety inspection, & related services
• Perform complete multi-point inspection on vehicle, check, and mark all required items on the checklist as required. Present the findings to the Service Advisor
• Replace oil and air filters
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels, replace or replenish as necessary
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
• Tire mounting/balancing, rotations and repairs
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor
• Document all work performed on the repair order
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by the service manager
• Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean
• Notify the Service Advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle
• Keep the shop area neat and clean
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Report any safety issues immediately to management
• Other tasks as assigned

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $18 – $24 Hourly — No bonus. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
