Role: Quantitative Developer

Client: Elite FinTech Start-Up

Compensation: Up to $200,000 CAD + Bonus + Benefits

Location: Montreal (Hybrid)

Overview

Our clients are looking for a skilled and innovative developer to help shape the next generation of our front-office risk and analytics platform. You’ll collaborate directly with traders and quantitative teams to design and implement high-performance Python frameworks that drive real-time pricing, risk, and decision-making across the business. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of sophisticated finance and modern software engineering.

The Role

You will be responsible for industrializing models and analytics, moving them from research into robust, production-grade environments. The position requires a proactive mindset and the ability to bridge technical and business needs, working in a fast-paced environment where your code directly influences trading decisions. We are looking for an engineer with personality who thrives in a collaborative, front-office setting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design and development of scalable, production-grade risk and pricing components
• Partnering with quants and front-office teams to industrialise models and analytics
• Driving best practices in software design, testing, and performance tuning
• Collaborating directly with traders to deliver real-time decision-making tools
• Bridging the gap between complex mathematical models and high-performance software
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience with Python
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals (degree preferred but not essential)
• An analytical mindset and eagerness to learn about markets and trading
• A proactive mindset with the ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders
• Strong personality and collaborative spirit
• Proven experience in building high-performance, scalable software
