Job summary

A leading quality assurance company in York Region, Canada is seeking an experienced quality inspector. The role involves conducting inspections, ensuring quality testing equipment is functioning, and maintaining documentation. The ideal candidate has an associates degree in mathematics and 2-5 years in a manufacturing environment. Full-time position with shifts from 3 PM to 11 PM, including potential overtime and a shift premium.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior quality experience in a role utilizing testing equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process inspections and test verifications.
  • Ensure that all QA equipment is calibrated and functioning.
  • Document, sample, and quarantine non-conforming material.

Description
Essential Duties and Tasks
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for in-process inspection and test verification for Quality, Packaging Safety and other requirements.
  • Ensure all QA bench-top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Responsible for documentation, sampling and quarantining of non-conforming material. Maintains other sample requirements as defined.
  • Must be comfortable working with quality testing equipment at the site.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education And Experience
  • Associates degree preferred with a concentration in mathematics.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior quality experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized.
  • Solid working knowledge of quality processes and related manufacturing.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams, and Outlook
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
Schedule
  • Shift schedule is from 3 pm - 11 pm which will be including a shift premium (May include overtime and rotating shifts)
