Job summary

A leading quality management company in Markham seeks a Quality Technician to perform inspections and manage quality testing equipment. Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years in manufacturing, preferably in quality assurance with a background in mathematics. Responsibilities include documentation, calibration, and teamwork participation. This full-time role requires strong communication skills and offers a shift schedule from 4 pm to 12 am, which includes a shift premium and the possibility of overtime.

Description
Essential Duties and Tasks
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for in-process inspection and test verification for Quality, Packaging Safety and other requirements.
  • Ensure all QA bench‑top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Responsible for documentation, sampling and quarantining of non‑conforming material. Maintains other sample requirements as defined.
  • Must be comfortable working with quality testing equipment at the site.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education And Experience
  • Associates degree preferred with a concentration in mathematics.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior quality experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized.
  • Solid working knowledge of quality processes and related manufacturing.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
  • Self-confident, self‑motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast‑paced environment.
Schedule
  • Shift schedule is from 4 pm - 12 am which will be including a shift premium (May include overtime and rotating shifts).
