A leading company is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to provide leadership for the quality function at their Red Deer facility. This role involves managing the quality management system, leading quality personnel, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and significant experience in quality management. This strategic position contributes to GATX Maintenance Group's objectives and requires strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
The Quality Assurance Manager provides leadership and direction for the quality function to support the Service Center Manager in implementing GATX Maintenance Group Strategic Initiatives. The role involves managing the quality management system to ensure regulatory and GATX compliance and leading quality personnel including the Quality Assurance Supervisor, Quality Control Leads, and outbound Inspectors.
The position acts as a technical liaison for investigating and resolving car issues, customer complaints, and audit findings. It requires extensive research and analysis of quality and maintenance issues. As a key, independent, cross-functional role, it significantly contributes to the GATX Maintenance Group's objectives. The Manager of Quality Assurance is also a member of the Senior Leadership Team at the Red Deer facility.
