Macfab Manufacturing Inc is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Mississauga. You will ensure parts meet quality standards through first-off, in-process and final inspections, and you will use CMM and vision systems to verify dimensions against drawings.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in engineering and at least five years of quality experience in precision machining, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Afternoon shift required.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of direct quality work experience in a precision machining environment.
• Detailed-orientated and analytical decision maker.
• Ability to read, review and create technical documents.
• Knowledge of precision measuring devices.

Position Summary

The Quality Inspector reports to the Quality Manager and ensures quality standards are met and aligned with customer requirements. The Quality Inspector is responsible to follow and enforce quality standards, policies and procedures in support of efficient quality management.

Afternoon Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

• Technical knowledge of precision machining
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents

• Knowledge of metals, metal alloys and engineered plastics
• Programming and operation of CMM and vision systems
• Knowledge of various measuring tools and gauges such as CMM and Vision systems, verniers, callipers and micrometres
• Knowledge of surface finish and measurement
