Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Toronto seeks a Quality Coordinator to join a major airport infrastructure project. You will report to the Site Quality Control Manager and perform QA/QC inspections across design, construction, handover and closeout phases.

You bring 7+ years in quality control/assurance on large projects, with at least 3 years on-site, and strong ability to read technical specifications and coordinate with contractors and site personnel.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in quality control and/or quality assurance.
  • 5+ years on large complex projects with at least 3 years on-site.
  • Strong understanding of reporting requirements and ability to provide management reports.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to read technical specifications and designs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control and QA activities throughout design, construction, handover and closeout phases.
  • Prepare and present progress reports with key quality metrics and corrective actions.
  • Contribute inputs to submittals, RFIs, O&M manuals and other technical docs.
  • Participate in punch lists, testing and commissioning.
  • Produce documentation for turnovers and QA program procedures.
  • Coach and mentor site staff; support the Site Quality Manager for construction audits.

Job Description Overview

Come join us in reshaping the future with AtkinsRéalis. AtkinsRéalis is searching for Quality Coordinators to join our team based in Toronto. Thie Quality Coordinators will be part of a large scale airport infrastructure project based in the west Toronto project office. Your role Reporting to the Site Quality Control Manager, undertake quality control and quality assurance related inspection activities throughout the design, construction, handover, and closeout phases. Prepares and presents regular progress reports including reporting on key quality metrics including suggesting corrective actions. Ensures conformance to the required quality management standards. Provides input to submittals, RFIs, O&M manuals, and other technical documentation as needed. Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning. Provides input to documentation for area/equipment turnovers. Implements and follows quality assurance program procedures. Coaching, mentoring, and supporting the career development of site staff. Support the Site Quality Manager for the Construction Quality Audits.

About you

Recognized qualifications in project or construction management or relevant profession. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in quality control and/or quality assurance function. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large complex projects with at least 3 years of on-site experience. Good understanding of reporting requirements and experience in providing management reports. Strong communication skills with strong understanding of construction standards. Able to read and understand technical specifications and designs. Comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders including contractors and other site personnel. Ability to work on site at project office located in the west end of Toronto Flexibility for various shifts if required.

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $130,000 - $140,000 annually.

Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
