Job summary

Empire Envelope, a unit of Qualico, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join the Calgary team. You will perform QC walkthroughs, handle light touch-ups and minor taping repairs, document processes, and communicate with builders, homeowners, and trades to ensure projects meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include tracking hours, maintaining clean work areas, and taking site photographs for scope verification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related experience in insulation, drywall, taping, and/or general construction.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Class 5 driver's licence with clean abstract.
• Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC walkthroughs on site and address minor taping repairs to uphold quality standards.
• Track hours and scope of work completed at each job and report via QC software for tracking and billing.
• Maintain site cleanliness and ensure clear communication with builders, homeowners, and trades.
• Take photos of work prior to scope changes and ensure high-quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of scopes and proper handoffs between crews.
