Job description

This is an entry level position suitable for anyone with an aptitude for reviewing computer-based training and blended training solutions. We develop high quality training solutions for clients across the Aerospace and Defence industry. This position requires an individual with attention to detail, a focus on continuous improvement opportunities, and the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary project team. This is a tremendous opportunity for individuals looking to move into the e-Learning industry.

Responsibilities
  • Reviewing learning content for alignment and adherence to Style / Design Guides.
  • Identifying grammatical issues, punctuation errors, spelling mistakes and making suggestions to ensure better readability.
  • Functionality and usability testing of courseware and product at various stages of the project life cycle.
  • Creating, maintaining and executing quality test cases to ensure adherence to project standards.
  • Maintaining and using quality control tools and environments.
  • Ensuring quality reviews and testing are completed within project deadlines.
  • Making recommendations to Quality Manager about ways to improve internal processes.
  • Cooperating and liaising with instructional designers, subject matter experts, multimedia developers, project managers, etc.
  • Providing manager with regular status updates and identifying / reporting potential risks and issues.
  • Providing inputs for continuous improvement and maintaining the Quality Management System.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite is required
  • Ability to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance is required
  • Aptitude for detail and accuracy is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines is required
  • Nice to Have: Degree and / or diploma in related field is considered an asset
  • Certificates in Quality / Continuous Improvement or similar is considered an asset
  • Editing and proofreading experience is considered an asset
  • ISO 9001 Quality Management System experience is considered an asset
  • Testing (e-Learning and / or software) experience is considered an asset
  • Experience in e-Learning and LMS environments is considered an asset
  • Bilingual capabilities in English and French are considered an asset
