Job summary

IEM Canada in Surrey, BC, seeks a Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. You will inspect electrical distribution equipment assemblies, record defects, and help ensure conformance to quality standards.

Responsibilities include packaging QC documentation, testing components, and supporting production with accurate feedback. A high school diploma and basic tool experience are required; training is provided on the job.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma and ability to read drawings.
  • Experience inspecting assemblies or wiring is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect frame, bus assembly, breaker/cradle/CDP, door, wire termination, routing, bundles, wire harnesses, wire numbers, torque values, top hat, and completed unit per QC work instructions.
  • Enter defects detected during inspection into the rework log and provide feedback on quality issues to production.
  • Install Lexan and insulation covers, attach labels, mimic bus, and install parts for closing the unit.
  • Take pictures of the tested unit; generate and review QC documents, including BQRs and tracking logs.
  • Perform current injection tests for breakers (MCCB) and functional tests for CTs.
  • Adhere to established safety guidelines and meet production schedules.
