This role is responsible for conducting inspections, verifying documentation, and supporting field and project teams in meeting quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

The QC Coordinator works closely with the QA Manager, Project Managers, and field supervision to ensure that all fabrication and construction activities meet applicable specifications, codes, and jurisdictional requirements. This position acts as a technical resource rather than an authority, contributing to client’s culture of quality, accountability, and proactive problem solving

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections and verifications in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, and project specifications.
  • Monitor fabrication, installation, testing, and completion activities to confirm compliance with customer, code, and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete inspection reports and records accurately and within timelines established by the QA Manager.
  • Support the QA Manager in managing hold and witness points, ensuring all required documentation and sign-offs are complete.
  • Review subcontractor ITPs and quality documentation to verify alignment with project and client expectations.
  • Maintain control of calibrated inspection equipment and related records.
  • Identify and communicate quality-related issues to the QA Manager; assist in developing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support internal and external audits, project closeouts, and lessons-learned initiatives.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide quality input and ensure inspection readiness.
  • Promote client’s quality objectives through coaching, teamwork, and proactive communication with project and site personnel.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of clients’s QMS by suggesting enhancements and sharing best practices.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various work sites as required.
  • Ability to wear CSA-approved PPE and perform field inspections, including climbing ladders and accessing confined or elevated areas.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and CSA N299 audit or inspection processes (asset).
