Job summary

A leading staffing agency in Ontario is seeking a Quality Control Analyst to perform various testing and documentation tasks in a pharmaceutical environment. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, 1-3 years of experience, and familiarity with HPLC and GC. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $20-24 per hour with a Monday to Friday shift schedule.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment.
  • Experience with analytical method development and validation according to ICH.
  • Some experience with microbiology in a GMP environment preferred.

Shift

Monday to Friday 8 : 00am – 4 : 00pm

Pay

$20-24 / hr

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Sample intermediates, bulk product, finished product and raw materials
  • Test samples for in-process, release, validation and stability purposes using chemical, microbiological and physical techniques.
  • Inspect / test incoming items and finished goods
  • Document test results as per SOP and follow Good Documentation Practices.
  • Understand and review data and complete written reports and certificates.
  • Participate in R&D activities related to testing.
  • Participate in method development and validation.
  • Data entry, analysis, trending.
  • Author / review SOPs, Protocols, Reports.
  • Work closely with other departments to complete these tasks.
Experience / Education
  • Degree or technical diploma in a relevant field
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years experience in pharmaceutical Laboratory environment
  • Experience using chemical, and physical test methods
  • Experience with HPLC, GC including troubleshooting
  • Experience with analytical method development and validation according to ICH
  • Experience with active compounds and plant material testing would be an asset
  • Some experience with microbiology in a GMP environment preferred
