Our mission is to build brands people believe in by delivering elevated experiences in all we do. Through uncompromising quality, purposeful innovation, and trusted partnerships, we create products and relationships that enrich lives and help shape the future of cannabis.

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to support the maintenance and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System. Based at our Hope facility and reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will ensure the quality, safety, and full traceability of all cannabis batches and finished products. Most importantly, you’ll champion quality and compliance at every stage of production to help us consistently deliver safe, high-quality products that meet our standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Review and verify daily records completed by operations staff, ensuring all corrections are accurate, timely, and well-documented.
  • Compile complete batch records to confirm that all required processes, tests, and assessments have been performed on schedule and meet specifications.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation in compliance with applicable guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform Quality Control duties when QC Technicians are unavailable, including product checks and sanitation verifications.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and SOPs.
  • Evaluate materials and equipment for suitability before purchase.
  • Support the receiving process for raw materials, supplies, equipment, and packaging components.
  • Assist with training and re-training of production personnel.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Support investigations into consumer complaints, deviations, and out-of-specification (OOS) results.
  • Prepare and organize documentation for internal and regulatory audits.
  • Assist in creating, revising, and maintaining controlled documents.
  • Participate in inventory counts and related verification activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Supervisor or Quality Manager.
Requirements
  • 1–2 years of experience in a quality-related role within the cannabis, food, pharmaceutical, natural health product, or nutraceutical industries is considered a strong asset; other relevant experience and education will also be considered.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or a certificate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (or equivalent education) is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in document and data review.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn new systems such as QMS, ERP, and MES platforms.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, whether standing or sitting for extended periods.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on additional duties and cross-train in new areas.
  • Experience in any of the following areas is considered an asset: document and data review, Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality inspections, quality control, technical writing, analytical testing, Cannabis Act and Regulations, complaint management, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), HACCP, or risk assessment.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work variable shifts, starting as early as 7:00 a.m. or ending as late as midnight, if needed to cover for other Quality team members or address unexpected issues that may arise.
